Well.
I’m not big a fan of Star Wars, and would never buy this, yet it sure would have saved all the old b-boys from getting sore shoulders. It would be great if it actually nodded it’s ‘head’ and walked to the beat.

I kinda dislike posting on things that I find on competitor’s sites (arrgrh! Designboom!)
Well anyway, it looks cool, yet the concept seems a little forced . . . you know, whack a graphic of a cassette over a couple of dials and all of a sudden, hey! Cassette watch!
But!! Look, it’s still cool, and if they weren’t sold out, I’d consider purchasing one!
Love this idea – though it doesn’t look like this one would actually function . . . it would be great if somehow the mice could choose the tracks – you know, (run) fast forward and cue it up.
Plus, you’d hope the little fellas didn’t develop a taste for tape!
Anyway it was one of . . .
“two idents were created for the ‘Estings’ ident competition run by the digital TV Channel E4. They got through to the final round and are currently on rotation on the TV channel.”
That was back in ‘07 – well done David Wilson
Came across these images on flickr.
Well, if you see some roughly painted rectangles on the wall, I’d say the best thing to do is turn them into rough drawings of cassette tapes.
Hey, I’ve got a backlog of posts I’ve gotta get through, but I’ve been so busy with work . . . more soon.
Also, thanks to all the people that have commented, it’s great to get a response
Thanks again!
And you thought it was all cassette collections and old boom boxes . . .
Look! It’s pouring a glass of wine! Must have been a James Taylor tape.
You should see what it does what it does with a 2 Live Crew cassingle . . .
Hey, this is from www.theoldrobots.com which is a great site. Those crazy robots!
This I like.
From www.craftster.org
I like that they have used the actual spools as a practical feature.
I like that they have used both Queen and Boyz II Men cassette tapes to make this.
Nice work.

From their site . . .
“Even though the whole world is going digital. We know that there are still a few individuals out there that still have respect for past, since the past builds the future. It wasn’t too long ago that everything in the world was once analog. We are not against going digital, we respect advancement in technology we just think that there is something about having thing analog that feel so much warmer. Things digital for some reason give out a sense of being cold, without having any heart or soul. We just want to pay tribute to an analog time not too long ago. The shirt features cassette tapes, which are now completely replaced. We just want to remind you all of an analog time.”
That’s a lot of words for a t-shirt.
Buy it from the Wax Poetics store
Hey! They also make mousepads!
Really though, I think they’re cool, even if they have less to say about them:
“8″ Round Hard Suface Mouse Pad Vynex”
“Cassette Rainbow by The Bottomless Paddling Pool.”
Great photo ffffound in The Bottomless Paddling Pool’s Flickr photo pool . . .
Real recognise reel . . . Project C-90
Ahhh! It’s been too long between posts!
Okay. This site is nice: www.c-90.org
It’s the biggest and best organised collection of compact, mini and micro cassettes that I’ve come across. Fan-tas-tic! Seriously – this is an amazing catalogue. Eg. Scotch 3M Cassettes
Awesome. So I have to say a big thanks to haplishe for leaving a comment letting me know about his collection. Thanks!
